Culebra & Vieques
Wednesday, December 17, 2008
We've been hanging out in Culebra and Vieques with Fredrik, Hans' friend from growing up in northern Sweden. He arrived last Tuesday and we've had a fun week spending time in Culebra and Vieques, sailing, relaxing on the beach and snorkeling. We leave for the States tomorrow leaving Whisper and Kit Kat in his good care.
Hanging out at the beach: Sun Bay on the south coast of Vieques.
As our friend Dave said: "Whoah! I'm blinded! It looks like you just crawled out from underneath a bandaid!
No worries...Fredrik quickly gets into the spirit of cruising.
The view from the top of the lighthouse on Culebrita. The building is rusting and falling apart, but the light still works.
Looking northeast from the peak of Culebrita.
dinner!
Fredrik works hard to get the thirsty beach-goers some coconut water.
Two Swedes enjoy the view from the coach roof, sailing downwind along Vieques' south coast.
Kristen launches the kite for Fredrik on Flamenco Beach on Culebra.
